Most new experiences can be terrifying, especially when it’s a leadership role. I’ve been there. I’m speaking from my own experience since the early 90s and the experiences of other first-timers I’ve helped.
I saw first-hand the severe impacts 1st timer syndrome had on many promising emerging leaders. It negatively affected their confidence, wellbeing, relationships, and performance. It was brutal!
