It's insane how most people overlook the importance of soft skills when in fact, research shows that the lion's share of success comes from the mastery of soft skills rather than technical ones.

Research showed that 85% of success in any endeavor comes from soft skills, only 15% from technical skills. A survey also revealed that 46% of new hires got fired within the 1st 18 months. 89% of them were fired because of a lack of soft skills while only 11% for lack of technical skills. 

These data clearly show that one's academic credentials, resume, and passing the interview process alone can only help one to get one's foot in the door. But, none of these will enable them to stay and flourish in the short and long terms.

Thus, the success of professionals, business owners, and leaders is highly dependent on their soft skills (people skills) than any other single factor.
